I watched the Fall Red Maple leaves
Applauding their friends
Falling to the earth
A hanging ovation by those not yet brave enough
To let go
From new bud, to fullness of green, to hidden red,
A life well lived
Knowing the time to leave
Is not the end
But a journey
Perhaps each tree is cheering
Leaves leaping
Colors sparkling in the sunlight, fluttering down
Life is good
If you watch,
You can see the sun paint a mountain
Changing the color with a cloud
Red, purple, yellow, grey
Winter is peeking over the hill
