Joe Broadmeadow is a former police captain with the East Providence, Rhode Island, Police Department, where he served for twenty years, including assignments in investigative services and federal task forces targeting organized crime. Drawing on those experiences, he writes crime fiction, nonfiction, and young adult novels known for their authenticity, strong characters, and moral complexity.
Joe is the author of numerous books, including It’s Just the Way It Was, Silenced Justice, Collision Course, and the young adult trilogy novels Saving the Last Dragon, Raising the Last Dragon, and Defending the Last Dragon. In addition to novels and non-fiction writing, he is a frequent contributor to the Providence Journal and other publications.
When he’s not writing, Joe enjoys hiking, fishing, and finding new stories wherever the trail leads him.
